"Mobility Assistance Penang" (MAP)

TRANSPORT SERVICE FOR DISABLED PERSONS OF PENANG

 Service

        Van with hydraulic lifter for wheelchair bound passengers.

Transport service for disabled persons of Penang (MAP) operates on the following basis and features:

1.  Area of service: Penang island only.

2.  Number of van:1

3.  Type of service: Door to door (Example: From point A to point B)

4.  Hydraulic lift: Wheelchair is lifted into and out of the van easily

5.  Wheelchair restraint system: For the safety of passenger

6.  Trip: One way or return (go to a place and come back)

7.  Maximum number of passenger: 5 with regular size wheelchair

8.  Booking acceptance: Start with 1 person or can book the whole van

9.  Helper or Care Giver or Family Member: Will be charged per person

10.  Priority of van usage: Society function and medical-related users

11. Priority of passenger: Members of SDPP and followed by others

12. Booking:3 days in advance subjected to availability of van

13. Charges: Reasonable and based on distance

Note:

1. Please be informed that as similar to other public transportation system,  the users are taking their own risk by using the service of our van.

2. SDPP has the sole discretion to accept or reject any booking with no obligation to offer any explanation.
